Dr. Devin Duval, OD, FCOVD

Dr. Duval received his Bachelors from Brigham Young University-Provo in Exercise Science. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree (OD) from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Duval is the only practicing optometrist in Utah with residency training in Pediatrics, Vision Therapy, and Vision Rehabilitation. He completed his Board Certification in Vision Development and Vision Therapy (FCOVD), making him the only optometrist in Utah who is both residency trained and board certified in Vision Therapy and Pediatrics. Dr. Duval had a lazy eye from a childhood injury that was fixed through vision therapy while he was in Optometry School....

Dr. Trevor Smith, OD

Dr. Smith was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho. He grew to love Utah while attending BYU, where he received his Bachelors degree in Physiology and Developmental biology. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee where he graduated Cum Laude. Dr. Smith his fluent in both English and Spanish. Kat, Office Manager

Kat is a military wife from Orem, Utah. She loves to sing and write and was excited to publish two articles last year. Her favorite thing to do is anything that lets her spend time with her husband, especially if it is camping or shooting. Kat graduated in family sciences and is getting additional certification to help families with their finances. If you have questions about financial coverage for vision therapy or office policies, she is your woman!


Bailey, Patient Care Coordinator

Bailey was born to a British mother and an American father. She was raised in Canada because of a lost family bet. She is interested in going to school for interior design. Bailey loves spending time with her husband and dog and going on walks with them. She and her husband LOVE going to Jazz games and playing games with their family. Look for her cute smile at our front desk when you come in!

Kenny, Billing Specialist

Kenny is a Brigham Young University student studying accounting. He aspires to enter the healthcare administration field following graduation. Kenny has been married for two glorious years to Lindsey, a fellow accountant. He enjoys being outside, eating Thai food, and helping streamline the billing process for our valued patients.

Jake, Technician

Jake grew up in a farming town in rural Utah. He is currently studying Biology at Utah Valley University. In Jake’s free time he enjoys being outdoors, going on hikes, playing ping pong and various musical instruments. He is no stranger to vision care as his mom was born legally blind due to Retinochoroidal coloboma. Jake is currently working as an optical technician and helps with patient pre-testing. If you have glasses or contact questions or are just needing a laugh, he is more than happy to help.

Marnie, Technician

Marnie is a BYU student from San Diego, California! She is currently studying Public Health but is hoping to attend Nursing School in the near future. She loves to play and listen to the guitar, as well as play volleyball with her husband. She loves optometry so much that when she was8 years old she purposefully under performed on her vision test to receive her own pair of unneeded glasses. Most of all, she is excited to work with and meet you patient pre-testing!

Aerie, Technician

Aerie grew up in a military family so she has moved around her whole life. Right now, her home is in San Clemente, California. Aerie loves to travel, meet new people, and try new things. She is passionate about learning and hopes to continue learning every day for the rest of her life. She aspires to go to medical school after she graduates from BYU.

Hunter, Technician

Hunter was born and raised in South Jordan, Utah. He was the mascot at Bingham High School for every football game and was even the runner up for the most spirited mascot in the nation. He loves spending time with his wife, hiking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and his all-time favorite place to vacation is Lake Powell. Hunter is currently studying Biology at Utah Valley University where he is preparing to go to medical school.

Kaylee, Vision Therapist

Kaylee is from a small town near Manti, Utah. She loves spending time with family and friends. She also loves all things music. Through experience, schooling, and certifications she enjoys helping all patients. Kaylee also has a private brain injury coaching practice and particularly enjoys assisting brain injury patients through their vision therapy journey at CFEC.


Naomi, Vision Therapist

Naomi grew up moving around the country, but is most recently from Orem. She is currently a student at BYU studying communication disorders. In her free time she loves being outside, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite part of being a vision therapist is helping patients progress and celebrating their little victories with them!


Carter, Vision Therapist

Carter is a UVU student from Spokane, Washington. He is studying exercise science while preparing to go to Optometry School someday. Aside from studying, he spends his time playing guitar and is surprisingly good at ice skating. He loves being a vision therapist and is excited to help you with your vision!


Katelyn, Vision Therapist

Katelyn grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where she spent all of her time playing basketball and soccer, running, and playing the piano. She loves exploring the outdoors and hopes to travel and visit every continent in her life. She has struggled with her vision since she was a child and would be legally blind without glasses or contacts. She has a passion for helping others and hopes to help others to fix their vision and enjoy the beautiful world we live in. Katelyn is a Neuroscience major at Brigham Young University where she is preparing to attend Optometry School in a few years.

Rachel, Vision Therapist

Rachel is from Dallas, Texas and is currently attending BYU. She is preparing to go to PA school after finishing her bachelor's degree. Rachel loves spending time with people- whether it's a game night with family, going hiking with friends, or playing pickleball- she finds a way to stay busy. If you ever need a pick-me-up, Rachel's bubbly and energetic personality is sure to do the job. Her goal as a Vision Therapist is to be your number one supporter during your vision therapy journey.

Miriam, Vision Therapist

Miriam is from the small town of Rifle, Colorado. Outside of optometry, her passions are in technology and music. Her favorite way to spend her time is going for a drive or hanging out with those close to her. Miriam will soon graduate from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and then attend optometry school.
